The Star reporter is making fun of the Elliot Old fools so he thinks ..."There’s a choice of line dancing, bean-bag baseball, shuffleboard, bridge. Or lunch with a politician named Andrea Horwath" then he goes on to further insult what he refers to as a couple of dozen seniors with an appetite for politics. having soup and a sandwich with the newish leader of Ontario’s NDP who listens to hard-luck stories from retirees about high taxes. Then calls them a perfect audience for her pocketbook pitch....$375 a year to families, “which is nothing to sneeze at.”
Then he comments - she shuts up, sitting down to a sandwich of tinned salmon and mayo on brown and lets the crowd digest her populist policies. He then continues with:"The NDP leader also has a tendency to lapse into repetitive platitudes, delivered with utmost conviction".
Then slams in :She can’t ride on the coattails of national leader Jack Layton, especially after his latest illness.
I bet ten to 1 this reporter was on a Free ride at the Hampton inn compliments of Retirement Living and the Liberals who are not realy interested in outsiders who could jeopordize their niche , by telling seniors move here and chances are you will die in the emergency room as we have a failed Health Care System with not enough doctors.
Keep your reporters in Queen's park until October 06 and use your paper to whipe where it best fits

Now that he’s respected, admired and genuinely liked even by those 28 newspaper editorial boards that rejected him in the last election, it’s a good time to recall that Mr. Layton hasn’t changed that much over the years. He just finally got appreciated.
